Ministry of Emergency Situations unit Head detained for bribery after searches
It is assumed that he illegally issued documents for the ship handling.
According to URA.RU, on January 10, head of the structural unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of small vessels inspection Leonid Zubkov was detained in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk region. Zubkov was detained after large-scale searches conducted by investigators. It is specified that the operation was carried out by the police together with the employees of the Investigative Committee of the city of Miass.
The message on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chelyabinsk region states that a Miass resident born in 1965 who, "being an official, illegally issued documents for the right to handle a small vessel." Under the law, documents should be issued after passing the training and the exams, but this procedure was not observed. Criminal case was initiated under part 3 of Art. 290 (Bribe-Taking) and part 1 of Art. 292 (Forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Now the detainee is in a temporary detention facility, in the near future a preventive measure will be chosen against him and he will be charged.
