Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod explained two apartments of his wife in Miami
Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Ivan Karnilin has undeclared property in Miami.
Apartments worth 824 thousand and 1 million dollars were purchased in December, 2013 and July, 2014, registered to the name of Albina Karnilina – wife of the Сity Head, found out the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) earlier.
Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration Karnilin in his comment to Nizhny Novgorod portal NN.ru explained an origin of apartments of his wife in Miami. He reported that the real estate in the United States was purchased by his former spouse in 2013-2014 when the legislation did not prohibit to own it. Karnilin noted that at that time it was investment of the capital. Besides, the Mayor emphasized that since March, 2015 he and his wife are divorced, and apartments still belong to her.
To recall, earlier according to statements from real estate registers of Florida it became known that a hostess of two apartments in a luxury housing estate of La Perla worth 130 million rubles is wife of the Mayor Albina Karnilina.
It should be noted that after the publication, Karnilin’s daughter Irina Ovchinnikova, who is specified as the heiress of one of the apartments in the USA, removed her profile from social network VKontakte. Alexey Navalny noted that Karnilin began to delete from everywhere all information about his family only after a request of the FBK.
Police officers took Kristina Morozova to a police station to check her identity, where she ended up getting a closed craniocerebral injury, minor cerebral contusion, fissure fracture of her cheekbone, fracture of her left sphenoid bone, and large leg bruise.
