Magnitogorsk: battalion commander of Road Patrol Service detained for bribery on STSI day

Vladimir Lukashev has been removed from post and placed under house arrest.

Ex-battalion commander of the Road Patrol Service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate from Magnitogorsk - Vladimir Lukashev - has been detained on suspicion of receiving bribes from drivers, reports Znak.com. The detention of Lukashev took place on July 3 - the STSI day.

Prosecutor assistant of Magnitogorsk’s Leninsky district Elena Isaeva says the ex-policeman is accused of receiving bribes by an official for illegal activities (item 3 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and bribery on a small scale (item 1 of article 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On July 5, Lukashev was placed under house arrest for 2 months - till September 2, 2019.

Lukashev is reported to have been removed from post. The amount of bribes and nature of services the ex-policeman had provided are not disclosed.
