Krasnoyarsk Investigative Committee Directorate searched
The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated the check. The directorate officers were suspected of embezzling funds from the budget.
The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in Krasnoyarsk Krai was searched, news network Zapad24 reports. The reason for the check initiated by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was the case targeting embezzlement of budgetary funds against several active employees and the former Head of the Material and Technical Support Department Colonel of justice Roman Tchaikovsky. Tchaikovsky was detained. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for other defendants will be decided upon the results of the investigative measures, the source of the agency said.
It is noted that there has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
In August 2017, Tchaikovsky became a defendant in the criminal case on a fatal crash on Siberia highway in Uyarsky district of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Then, the Colonel's SUV standing on the separating strip, was crashed into by a Toyota Sprinter car that went from the opposite direction. The Toyota driver died 11 days after the accident.
In September, the Head of the regional department of the Investigative Committee Igor Napalkov was ousted from his post. The commission came from Moscow with a check, related to the complaint of a resident of Krasnoyarsk on the inactivity of investigators. In 2016, the 16-year-old daughter of the woman, who went camping with her classmates and teacher, died in Stolby Nature Sanctuary (The Pillars). The Investigative Committee Directorate did not initiate a case on negligence against the teacher.
According to the agency, in early October, Napalkov returned to work, but the federal agency made the last warning.
It is also reported that on November 17, unknown persons wrote on the wall of the directorate building the inscription "Napalkov is a thief".
Windows and glass doors of the educational institution were broken. Many students tried to escape through windows. The Polytechnic College doorkeeper said that it took the ambulance very long to arrive.
