Krasnodar region: police officer who extorted $772 from businessman detained
FSB officers caught the policeman red-handed.
In the Mosty district of the Krasnodar region, a police officer was arrested extorting 50,000 rubles ($772) from a businessman. The businessman was engaged in the reception of scrap metal with violations of the law. Instead of documenting violations, the law enforcer offered him to avoid problems with the law in exchange of 50 thousand rubles. As a result, FSB officers caught the policeman red-handed.
The ICR in the Krasnodar region is in charge of the case. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also announced an internal check, which will be held in parallel with the investigation of the case.

However, the reaction of the law enforcement authorities is always the same: repression. What is the reason behind the brutality shown during the dispersion of mass rallies? A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
