Krasnodar: Attorney faces trial for mediating in 1-million-ruble bribe
Krasnodar attorney Ilya Mikhaylov is accused of mediating in giving a 1-million-ruble bribe.
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office already signed an indictment for a criminal case against him. The case file was referred to court for further proceedings.
Mikhaylov mediated in giving an investigative agency deputy head a bribe in the summer of 2016, according to investigators. The deputy head was to reclassify a criminal case related to bribery in a profit-making organization.
Ilya Mikhaylov was arrested by the FSB Krasnodar regional department employees. He was placed under house arrest. The case file was referred to the Leninsky District Court for further proceedings.
Ismail Efendiev is suspected of exceeding authority in connection with the investigation of cases of detained earlier former First Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Aliyev and nephew of the former head of Dagestan Askhabali Abdulatipov. Searches are being conducted at Efendiev's office and house.
The disappearance of an elderly Muscovite, who owns three rooms on Ostozhenka Street, and her disabled son, worried the neighbors, but the police refused to initiate criminal proceedings on their application. Housing in the elite area of the capital in the meantime was re-registered to a resident of St. Petersburg, who introduced herself as their relative.
