Kovrov investigator paid million for taking bribe
According to the criminal case, in August 2017, the investigator received a bribe from a man accused of committing a crime to prevent the latter from going to a pre-trial detention center as well as to provide for assistance in reconciliation with the victim.
The investigator himself has pleaded guilty. As a result, he has been sentenced to a suspended sentence of two years in a colony and a fine of 1 million rubles ($16.9 thousand) with payment by installments for four years and two months. In addition, the man will not be able to hold positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for two years.
As reported by the MIA Directorate in the Vladimir region, the investigator has been dismissed from the internal affairs agencies for negative reasons.
