Khabarovsk: railway station deputy chief busted on $196k bribe

The deputy chief of Khabarovsk II railway station for freight and commercial work has become a defendant in the case of bribe-taking, ICR press service in the region reports.
According to the investigation, he received more than 12.5 million rubles ($196,000) from an entrepreneur doing business in the field of freight transportation by rail. In exchange, the deputy chief promised to provide general patronage and also ensured the delivery of cargo to the company, which was registered with violations.
The shipping documents contained information that did not correspond to reality, due to which the entrepreneur paid for the delivery at a more favorable rate.
At the moment, a preventive measure is being elected for the detained man.
