Alikhanov told bloggers about the temptations that awaited him when he became head of the region.
Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov admits to having been offered bribes. For example, the region head said that he was offered €2 million for granting a permission to build a waste recycling plant.
Alikhanov stressed that he refused the money. It is noteworthy that the governor decided to share such details at a meeting with bloggers, and not at the police station.
He even disclosed the tidbits of this conversation.
“When will you ask us to do this?” the bribe-giver asked the governor. Governor: “Do what, exactly? “Well, you know, transfer €2 million to your account.”
In addition, Alikhanov was offered a share for the construction of various facilities.
