Jewelry, weapons and a lot of cash. Nefteyugansk mayor faces another criminal case
The ICR and the FSB have searched the workplace and the place of residence of the official.
A new criminal case may be opened against the detained Mayor of Nefteyugansk, Sergey Degtyarev, who has already been charged with abuse of official powers, Telegram channel GB Regions informs.
The ICR and the FSB have conducted searches at the workplace and at the place of residence of the official. According to the channel, during the operational and investigative measures, the investigators found large amounts of cash in rubles and currency in the Mayor’s apartment, as well as unregistered weapons.
“Jewelry, cash (more than 70 thousand dollars and almost 6 million rubles ($91 thousand)), as well as several unregistered hunting rifles,” the authors of the channel pen. They also conclude that in addition to Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Abuse of Official Powers) Degtyarev may be charged under Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
So far there is no official confirmation of this information, comments are not given either by the Investigative Committee or by the Nefteyugansk City Hall.
