Ivanovo Region: official gives his relative land worth $247.000
The former Head of the Privolzhsky District was going to register the plots of land in his name.
Sergey Sychev, the former Administration Head of the Privolzhsky District (Ivanovo Region), illegally transferred three plots of land in Plyos to one of his relatives.
According to the investigation, Sergey Sychev, while holding the post of the district head, gave his relative a land plot with a total area of more than 2 thousand 600 square meters for lease. The investigators believe that in the future the official planned to make this land his property officially. Its estimated total value is about $247.000.
The former official is accused of Abuse of Official Powers (part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The press service of the Investigative Committee for the region said that the investigators had conducted a series of searches at Sychev's and his relative’s places, as well as in the administration of Plyos and Privolzhsky District. A pre-trial restriction against Sychev has not been chosen yet.
Note that in 2014, Sychev left the post of head of the district administration and had another job. He moved to Moscow to the post of adviser to the CEO of a state corporation, the Foundation for Assistance to the Reform of the Housing and Communal Services.
