Investigative Committee asked to prolong house arrest of ex-Head of Komi Torlopov
The former official is incriminated participating in creation of criminal group and swindle.
The investigation submitted a petition for extension of term of house arrest to former Head of Komi Vladimir Torlopov till June 6. Earlier he confessed in creation of criminal community and swindle for 2.5 billion rubles ($43.132.000), the press secretary of the Basmanny Court of Moscow Yunona Tsaryova reports.
It is noted that the petition will be considered on March 2.
According to law enforcement authorities, Torlopov together with other former Head of Komi Vyacheslav Gaizer (Gaizer released Torlopov from this duty in 2010) and the being deputy chairman of board of Renova Group Alexander Zarubin have created criminal community which activity has caused to the state damage not less than for 2.5 billion rubles.
