In the Saratov Region FSB officers have caught the deputy prosecutor of a district out, taking a bribe
During a joint operation of the Administration of Federal Security Service and the Investigative Committee, deputy prosecutor of the Ershovsky District Dmitry Volkov was detained at Engels-Ozinky route.
The Porsecutor’s Office’ employee was arrested after getting a large sum of money from a local policeman of the Office of the Administration of Internal Affairs.
The acting prosecutor of the region Vyacheslav Simshin found out about Volkov’s criminal intentions and has reported to the anti-corruption authorities.
According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta (Russian newspaper), the bureaucrat got 400 thousand rubles for concealment of results of a functional audit check concerning the police officer, who could have been arraigned on a criminal charge for illegal acts. Due to his official position, the deputy prosecutor could have settled this issue, the Investigative Committee believes.
According to the representative of the regional Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee Ekaterina Pirskaya, the pre-trial restrictions for Volkov have not been chosen yet. However, the investigation will insist on placing the accused in custody.
Despite the fact that the head of the state corporation Rostec claimed he did not aspire to become prime minister in 2017, already in 2018 the media reported that he might join the government after all.
Double-cross system. Why does corruption in Nefteyugansk police lead to resignation of regional high-ranking law enforcers?
Yugra faced another corruption scandal. It turned out that Head of Nefteyugansk police Nikolay Plaksin, along with his chief of the district department Roman Nedyba, 'covered' counterfeit alcohol dealers. Ethnic gang from Central Asian supplied the sheep-dip to the shops throughout Yugra for several years. A criminal case initiated against high-ranking police officers was followed by three more. The rouge cops were first placed in the SIZO, but then released under house arrest. Now the case against them collapsed. But there was another news: the leadership of the regional police faced resignations. Head of the Yugra police Sergey Fisenko has already lost his post. How are these events related? And who will take it on the nose?
