In Sverdlovsk MIA Central Board held service check after arrest of Deputy Head of ESS Department
A senior police officer is suspected of taking very large bribes.
In the Sverdlovsk Research Affairs it is held a service check in connection with the arrest of the Deputy Head of the ESS Department on transport of the UEBiPK Maxim Kasatkin, reported the regional Central Board.
A senior police officer is accused of taking a particularly large bribe. Another defendant in the case is Eduard Kraev, who allegedly acted as an intermediary in obtaining bribes. If the fault is confirmed, Kasatkin will be brought to disciplinary responsibility.
On August 12th, the Deputy Head of the ESS Department was arrested red-handed in Yekaterinburg during receiving of 500 thousand rubles from the Head of a construction company. According to investigators, a bribe of 2 million rubles was paid for the termination of checks in respect of the company.
Rosfinmonitoring (Federal Financial Monitoring Service) analyzed the data of the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers and discovered thousands of offshore companies through which the Russians laundered billions of rubles. Materials on deputies and governors were handed over to law enforcers.
A spokesperson of the Prosecutor's office said that the ECHR had not studied all the materials of the criminal case, so they were offered not to overturn the verdict, but to send the case for a new review in court.
