ICR General Nikandrov left in custody for 3 more months
The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has held a session to elect a measure of restraint for General of Justice Denis Nikandrov, suspected of receiving bribes from the kingpin Shakro Molodoy.
The investigation had requested to extend the arrest for the First Deputy Head of the ICR Main Investigations Directorate in Moscow. As reported by the court's Press Secretary Ekaterina Krasnova, the court has granted the request.
Earlier, on December 14, the court remanded the senior ICR officers Aleksandr Lamonov and Mikhail Maksimenko, as well as thief in law Zakhar Kalashov (Shakro Molodoy), who had been detained along with Nikandrov, in custody.
The Prosecutor's Office prescribed a check in Tyumen's correction colony (IK)-2 in connection with the suicide of a 20-year-old prisoner, who, according to human rights activists, was driven crazy by enforcers.
