House of narcissism. Details of searches in Serpukhov district Head's home transpire
There appeared photos taken during the investigative actions in regards to Alexander Shestun.
Searches in the house of the Head of Serpukhov district, Alexander Shestun, turned up quaint interior items. For one, the siloviki discovered a portrait of the official, where he sits in an armchair with a glass of wine in his hand. In front of him is a table with a chessboard and, for some reason, playing cards and casino chips. Out of the window, one can see skyscrapers of a megacity, which seem a little lower than the window of the building where Shestun sits.
On one of the walls of his mansion, a genealogical tree was also found, entitled My Family Name. Besides, a collection of firearms and knives deserves particular attention. The house, judging by the photos, has a gym, gazebos with a fireplace. In the yard of the official there is a pine-tree garden, paths paved with flagstone, and garden furniture.
Black Volkswagen minivan and Mercedes-Benz S500 4Matic are parked in the courtyard. The latter, evidently, is indicated in his income declaration. It is possible that the mansion mentioned in the declaration corresponds to the one in which the searches were conducted. The accounts for 2017 featured a house of 460.15 sq. m. and a land plot of 3932 sq. m. The official site of the municipality informs that in the past year Shestun’s income amounted to 1 million 479 thousand 921.85 rubles ($23.6 thousand), his wife contributed 551 417.68 rubles ($8.8 thousand) to the family budget over the same period.
Alexander Shestun, Head of Serpukhov district, was detained today after the searches in his house. A case was brought under Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Exceeding Official Powers) against the official. According to MK-Serpukhov, it implies the sale of four plots with a total area of more than 10 hectares in the village of Borisovo, Serpukhov district, at a knock-down price, which caused damage to the budget worth 63 million rubles ($1 m).
Earlier, the media reported on the visit of law enforcement officers to the house of Shestun at about 6 am on June 13. Lawyer of Shestun stated that during the investigation actions the official had become ill, and an ambulance had been called for him. The official's house was cordoned off along the perimeter, the entire family of Shestun was inside. In addition, the rummage resulted in the street, in which the house of the district Head is located, being blocked.
For several days now, the minds of the public in St. Petersburg are occupied with one piece of news – Lieutenant-General Umnov, head of the Main Directorate of the MIA for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, leaves his post and sets off for a promotion to Moscow. Sergey Umnov is allegedly designated for the position of deputy minister of the MIA Vladimir Kolokoltsev. However, on the sidelines of the ministry they expect not a promotion for the Petersburg general, but an honorable resignation with the consequent loss of political weight.
