The head of the Millerovo temporary detention center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Korshikov, has been detained, reported DonDay.ru with reference to sources.
According to the sources of the publication, the detention was carried out on August 10 as part of an investigation into power abuse.
The day before, on August 9, 25-year-old Daniil Ivanov, a defendant in a murder case, escaped from the pre-trial detention center in Millerovo District. The details of the escape were not reported and how he managed to leave the prison is unknown. He did not stay at large for long - already on August 10, he was detained and taken back.
