Head of Moscow MIA department found guilty of abuse of office
Deputy head of Logistics Department Dmitry Koshelev has been detained on suspicion of fraud with state contracts.
Friday, October 20, Deputy Head of the Logistics Department of the Moscow Internal Affairs Main Directorate, Dmitry Koshelev, was detained.
"Within the framework of operational activities, employees if the Moscow MIA Main Directorate's Internal Security Department received information about abuse of official powers by the head of one of the Internal Affairs Main Directorate's divisions," the agency's press service reported.
The inspection showed that during the acceptance of works under the state contract, Koshelev signed the acceptance certificate. However, the work had not been fully implemented.
A criminal case under Art. 285 of the Russian Criminal Code (Abuse of official powers) has been initiated against the high-ranking police officer.
Koshelev is currently detained. Soon, he will be fired from the police for negative reasons. In addition, he will bear the penalty provided by the Russian legislation.
The court appointed oppositionist Alexey Navalny 20-day arrest immediately after doing another term. During the hearing, he promised to respond to the director of Rosgvardiya after watching his challenge to a duel.
