Head of Kirov Rosreestr interregional branch busted on corruption charges
The official was caught red-handed when receiving money in exchange for documents.
Operatives of the FSB Directorate in Kirov have detained the head of Rosreestr interregional branch on suspicion of bribe-taking, Vyatsky Nablyudatel' reports.
According to the investigation, the official has received 30 thousand rubles for illegally registering the right for property. Local media citing the ICR Investigations Directorate in the Kirov region report that March 15, the official was detained when receiving money. Documents on state registration, a fictitious contract of sale, and a counterfeit extract from the Unified State Register of Real Estate were seized from him during the detention.
A criminal case under part 3 of Art. 290 of the Russian Criminal Code (Taking a bribe by a functionary for unlawful actions) has been initiated against the official. Investigators will find out all the circumstances of the incident and give a legal assessment of the suspect’s actions on the manufacture of forged documents. A preventive measure is currently being elected for him.
