Head of Investigation Department of Traffic Safety Inspectorate suspected of taking 2.3 million rubles bribe

Sergey Gorbachev, the Head of the Investigation Department of the Moscow Ring Road traffic police special regiment of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, was detained by the Federal Security Service officers on night of September 24, 2016, while receiving money, as reported by Life.
The traffic police officer tried to help his colleagues, who had recently been suspected of taking 5 thousand rubles bribe from a driver.
The captain estimated his services at 2.3 million rubles. According to Life source, after that, one of the traffic police officers filed a request to the special services. And Gorbachev was put under observation.
The Head of the Investigation Department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate was arrested on Saturday, at night of September, 24 on the 53rd kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road, while receiving money.
It was noted, that Sergey Gorbachev is under house arrest at the moment. He left his post and was dismissed from internal affairs agencies. Several officers of the 1st special traffic police regiment of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate were dismissed as well.

A spokesperson of the Prosecutor's office said that the ECHR had not studied all the materials of the criminal case, so they were offered not to overturn the verdict, but to send the case for a new review in court.
