General Nikandrov has found meaning of life in pre-trial detention center
Accused of taking bribes from Shakro Molodoy the first Deputy Head of the ICR Main Investigations Directorate in Moscow Denis Nikandrov practices yoga and hopes for an early release.
Among all the senior ICR’s detainees on charges of taking bribes and abuse of official powers, General Denis Nikandrov looked the worst after the arrest. He was depressed, confused, asked for an opportunity to talk with a psychologist and a priest.
Now, according to the Moscow Public Oversight Commission’s member Yelena Abdullayeva, who visited Nikandrov, he looks better. He is willing, cheerful, positive and hopes for an early release. In general, the life of a man is getting better.
The reason for such drastic changes, according to public activists, became his new cellmate-yogi, who turned in the Lefortovo prison for drug trafficking from India to Russia. He teaches Nikandrov to do breathing exercises and take right posture-asana.
The source of MK, associated with security forces, positive changes in life of accused General is the result of the prison administration and the FSB work. According to him, there was a real danger that Nikandrov commit suicide, and that would be a big scandal. Especially, there were such situations. Recall the story of the young General Boris Kolesnikov, who jumped out of the ICR’s building window. Therefore, it is in the interests of the investigation that Nikandrov should be healthy and adequate.
But he is still not allowed to meet with his wife. But, as he himself previously explained, for this it needs to cooperate with the investigation. And if not, there is no hope. "I know all of these methods and used them earlier", - summed Nikandrov.
Often, to understand the situation you need to be in it. Nikandrov, in this regard, is lucky - he was on the one hand of the Russian justice system and on the other. And seeing all its defects, he even demands to amend the law, which would not set a meeting with the relatives dependent on decisions of the investigator.
He wrote about this in a letter to the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin. And he tried to explain why he is in prison, and what is the real situation in the ICR Main Investigations Directorate in Moscow.
Recall that the first Deputy Head of the Main Investigations Directorate for the City of Moscow of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Denis Nikandrov, the Head of the Main Directorate for Interdepartmental Liaison and Internal Security of the ICR Mikhail Maksimenko and his Deputy Alexander Lamonov are of abuse of official powers and taking a bribe of 1 million dollars for the release of the right-hand of the kingpin Shakro Molodoy.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
