Former officials are charged with patronizing a local developer and stealing money.
Acting head of the Dagestani government Abdusamad Hamidov and former Minister of Education of the Republic Shahabas Shakhov face new charges within the criminal case of a bribe. TASS reports concerning lawyer of one of the defendants Dagir Khasavov.
Employees of the ICR accused Hamidov and Shakhov of connivance in the service and patronage of director of the state customer-developer Kadiev, whose name is not disclosed in full.
Also, Hamidov and Rayudin Yusufov were accused of embezzling more than 41 million rubles in the reconstruction of a temporary detention facility for foreigners and stateless persons in Makhachkala. The episode was separated. The object of the temporary detention facility, according to the lawyer, was accepted by the state commission.
Hamidov, Shakhov, ex-Minister of Economy of Dagestan Yusufov and Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Shamil Isaev were detained on February 5, 2018. Ex-officials are accused of embezzling more than 100 million rubles from the budget during the implementation of social programs. The court seized the bank accounts and property of the accused. None of them pleaded guilty.
Seventeen Russian Governors are facing criminal prosecution for bribe-taking. The rest of them may be jailed any time for exceedance of official powers. At least, Nezygar (@russica2) Telegram channel claims so citing an unidentified source in the law enforcement structures. However, according to that source, it is currently prohibited to prosecute top-level officials. In 2018, the operatives had only searched offices of Vice Governors or Deputy Ministers – not their bosses. The CrimeRussia found out what supreme functionaries are on the hook of the law enforcement authorities and may be immediately indicted if the President orders so.
