Former Head of Customs in Vnukovo airport declared in international wanted list
Yuri Shebunyaev is accused of smuggling goods from Turkey.
The former Head of Moscow airport Vnukovo's Customs is declared in the international wanted list. He was charged in absentia under part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (Abuse of Official Powers) within the case of smuggling from Turkey.
Currently, it is ongoing investigative measures in respect to the Acting Deputy Head of Vnukovo customs and head of the Vnukovo customs post Roman Kurzenkov, the Acting Head of the department of special customs procedures № 4 Mikhail Fast, the Deputy Head of the special customs procedures № 3 Alexey Plitin, and the Chief State Customs Inspector Igor Kudryashov and other officials Vnukovo customs, which are also involved in the case.
According to the investigation, airport officials colluded with citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan for transportation on the territory of the Russian Federation commercial cargos, according to the documents passing as hand luggage.
The court believes that Anzhela Maria Tsapok could have made the money to buy the house and the expensive car by legal means, since she owned a firm. The court still refused to lift the attachment from her 6 million dollars.
