Former Deputy Presidential Envoy speaks about bribing opposition members
The St. Petersburg court listened to an audio recording of the conversation of billionaire Datsyshin and the head of the Kaliningrad ICR department.
Billionaire Alexander Datsyshin told Lieutenant-General Viktor Ledenev, Chief of the Investigative Committee of the Kaliningrad region, about paying 18 million rubles to oppositionists, which he received from former Head of the Presidential Administration on Domestic Policy Oleg Govorun. That is reported by Metagazeta with reference to the audio recording of the relevant conversation, heard in the Moskovsky Court of St. Petersburg at a meeting on the case of extortion of $50 thousand from Ledenev by Datsyshin and journalist Igor Rudnikov.
“When I was deputy envoy, how did I resolve the issue with the opposition? Called the Govorun here. He just brought 18 million rubles. Well, they also spent this money on rallies. It was all over...” a voice similar to Datsyshin speaks on audio.
Govorun headed the Office for Domestic Policy in 2006-2011. In a conversation with Ledenev, the billionaire could have in mind the protest actions of 2009-2010.
