Former deputy head of the Yaroslavl pre-trial detention center was sentenced for bribery
The Court found the ex-deputy head of the pre-trial detention center №1 of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yaroslavl Region guilty under Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Taking a bribe).
Former deputy head, whose name was not called, was sentenced to four years of imprisonment in a penal colony and a fine of 1 million rubles. In addition, the figurant of the criminal case was deprived of his title of lieutenant colonel of internal service.
According to the investigation, from June to October 2015, the defendant received bribes for arranging visits in jail. The former official was taking boats, tents and wheel rims as bribes.
