After a Prosecutor General's Office's routine inspection in the Ministry of Energy the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak fired two employees in connection with the loss of confidence.
According to the Ministry, following the inspection 14 employees were reprimanded and four were given a rap over the knuckles.
The Ministry of Energy noted that the examination was carried out under the control of the loyalty of the laws on civil service and anti-corruption.
Employees of the Ministry were checked for conflicts of interest, the supervisory authority studied data on income and property.
As noted by RIA Novosti, at the end of the Prosecutor's check the Minister of Energy Novak instructed the responsible departments staff to strengthen measures to detect violations and prevent corruption.
Rosfinmonitoring (Federal Financial Monitoring Service) analyzed the data of the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers and discovered thousands of offshore companies through which the Russians laundered billions of rubles. Materials on deputies and governors were handed over to law enforcers.
A spokesperson of the Prosecutor's office said that the ECHR had not studied all the materials of the criminal case, so they were offered not to overturn the verdict, but to send the case for a new review in court.
