Figurant of Gaizer's case testified against former General Director of Vimpelcom Mikhail Slobodin
The ex-Deputy Chairman of the Komi Government Konstantin Romadanov gave testimony against Mikhail Slobodin that served as the basis for the pressing charges against the top manager.
The former Deputy Prime Minister of the Komi Konstantin Romadanov testified against the former General Director of Vimpelcom, said to the edition Interfax the lawyer of Slobodina Sergey Koptyakov. According to him, the only basis for the charges are merely evidence of three witnesses - Romadanov, Sadykov and Sokolov.
Recall that Romadanov, which himself is involved in the Gaizer case on 14 September made a deal with the investigation and testified against the former Head of the Komi Republic Vyacheslav Gaizer, who is suspected in the creation of the OCG, swindling, bribery and legalization of money.
On September 15th, the court of Syktyvkar in the Komi decided to arrest Mikhail Slobodin, who is outside of the Russian Federation, presumably in France, in absentia and declared him in an international warrant list.
For several days now, the minds of the public in St. Petersburg are occupied with one piece of news – Lieutenant-General Umnov, head of the Main Directorate of the MIA for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, leaves his post and sets off for a promotion to Moscow. Sergey Umnov is allegedly designated for the position of deputy minister of the MIA Vladimir Kolokoltsev. However, on the sidelines of the ministry they expect not a promotion for the Petersburg general, but an honorable resignation with the consequent loss of political weight.
