Ex-minister Ulyukaev getting divorce
A source said the divorce process "strongly affects the moral and psychological state" of the ex-Minister convicted of corruption.
The network of former Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev convicted of bribe-taking for 8 years, announced his divorce from his wife, reports TASS.
According to the agency's source, the divorce process "strongly affects the moral and psychological state" of the former official. The interlocutor of TASS did not specify the reasons for the divorce.
Open sources say Ulyukaev is married to Yulia Khryapina. This is the second marriage of the ex-Minister. The couple raised two minor children.
Ulyukaev's lawyer Larisa Kashtanova said she was not aware of the divorce of her client, agency Moskva informs. According to her, the ex-Minister feels "well, as far as it is possible in current conditions."
The agency's source from the Ulyukaev's network said that the information about the divorce is not true. "Maybe there was a little spat, but there is no divorce process," - said the agency's interlocutor.
In December 2017, the court sentenced Alexey Ulyukayev to eight years in a strict regime colony and a fine of 130 million rubles ($2 m) for receiving a bribe of $2 million from the Head of Rosneft Igor Sechin.
Russia’s deposit insurance agency asked the court to involve an offshore company Clement Glory in a case against a fugitive banker and an ex-owner of Vneshprombank Georgy Bedzhamov. Clement Glory turned out to hold Bedzhamov’s real estate in Great Britain in pawn, reports RBC.
