Ex-Head of Sakhalin not challenge seizure of property at 1 billion rubles
The Presidium of the Sakhalin Regional Court dismissed the appeal of the Alexander Khoroshavin's protection. The lawyers tried to challenge the transfer of his property to the state.
The cassation appeal filed by former Governor of the Sakhalin region Alexander Khoroshavin on the decision to withdraw all his property in profit of the state was rejected. RBC reports it referring to the lawyer of the official's family Ivan Mironov.
According to the lawyer, he did not receive a justification for such a decision from the court.
Earlier it was reported that police officers confiscated property worth over 74 million rubles from the family of Khoroshavin.
In September of 2016 the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk City Court decided to satisfy the claim of the Prosecutor General and withdraw Khoroshavin’s family property for a total of 1.1 billion rubles in favor of the state. The ex-Governor is under investigation on suspicion of several counts of bribery from March 2015.
Police officers took Kristina Morozova to a police station to check her identity, where she ended up getting a closed craniocerebral injury, minor cerebral contusion, fissure fracture of her cheekbone, fracture of her left sphenoid bone, and large leg bruise.
Viktor Trutnev, ex-Head of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, has finished his career ‘in style’ – he went to jail. The Moscow Garrison Military Court has recently detained the retired general for the duration of the investigation. The former police commander is accused of mediation in bribery and bribe extortion. Trutnev was turned in by his former accomplices – FSB officers trying to extort 3 million rubles ($52.3 thousand) from the Director of Snegirev Research Technological Institute in exchange for covering up violations identified at the enterprise.
