Ex-head of Dagestani Kizilyurt suspected of office abuse
According to investigators, Ustarkhan Alyukov transferred some town-owned property to the ownership of local people.
The Investigative Committee instituted two power abuse cases against Ustarkhan Alyukov, the former head of Kizilyurt, a Dagestani town, under part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code, according to the press service of the Dagestani Investigative Committee. Investigators believe that Alyukov transferred some town-owned property to the ownership of local people.
It was established that Alyukov transferred the ownership rights of two land plots (500 square meters and 600 square meters) to two local residents in 2012, knowing that they belonged to the state. Currently, the office of the former administration head is being searched with seizures of documents to prove he is responsible for what happened.
Yesterday police detained Dagestan interim Prime Minister Abdusamad Gamidov, his deputies Shamil Isayev and Rajudin Yusufov, as well as the former Minister of Education Shakhabas Shakhov. The officials are charged with embezzlement of budget funds. The investigation believes that they acted as a criminal group. The damage from the actions of the officials amounted to 107.800.000 rubles ($1.9m).
Not so much time has passed since the death of Igor ‘Adolf’ Minakov, and, as many predicted, the silent transition to possible successors of the funeral empire, which he built on the shoulders of his mobs, failed. The newly-emerging representatives of ritual services not only steal the bread from the mouths of former ‘royal subjects,’ but also control the city elections with their fists.
