Colony IK-6 in Klintsy

Now he can serve his 10 years' imprisonment in the colony, where he had been on charge.

Employees of the FSB detained the acting head of the operational department of the prison (IR-6) of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Bryansk region, located in the city of Klintsy, Nikolay Prokofiev.

He is arrested. According to the investigation, he received 500 thousand rubles ($8.400) from the relatives of the two prisoners for the promise to resolve their issue with parole.

As reported by the TASS with reference to the regional department of the FSB, a criminal case was filed against a colony employee under the article Swindling on an especially large scale using the official position (parts 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Note that in the same colony former Governor of the Bryansk region Nikolay Denin is serving a four-year sentence for Abuse of Official Powers (part 2 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code). Recently, the regional court refused to grant him a parole, leaving the decision of the court of first instance in force, taking into account that he did not fully cover the material damage caused to the regional budget as a result of his actions. Of 21.8 million rubles ($368.000) he still owes more than 16 million ($270.100). In addition, his early release is hampered by disciplinary action - in particular, Denin used a mobile phone.
