Emergencies Ministry Major detained in Chita for embezzlement gave state contracts to his brother

Ivan Pimenov gave contracts from the enterprises of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to his brother, businessman Vitaly Yarilov.

The Deputy Head of the third detachment of the Federal Fire Service in Trans-Baikal Krai has become a defendant in a criminal case on the theft of 1.6 million rubles ($25.4 thousand).

According to investigators, the third detachment entered into a state contract for the repair of fire fighting equipment, for the operation of which Pimenov was responsible. The Major, according to the investigation, agreed on the embezzlement of money from the 3.7 million rubles ($58.7 thousand) allocated under the government contract. The investigation does not specify the name of the company.

The case of fraud was opened against Pimenov, as well as the director and chief accountant of the contractor company. According to the Kontur.Focus system, the rescuer's brother, Yarilov, is the founder of two companies: Oliks Buryatia LLC and Zabtekhekspert LLC.

Zabtekhekspert fulfills orders of state enterprises, in 2017, the company received the largest contract for 1.78 million rubles ($28.2 thousand) from the third fire service detachment in Trans-Baikal Krai.

In total, Zabtekhekspert has completed state orders for 7.6 million rubles ($120.6 thousand), including for medical enterprises, courts and local authorities.
