Head of the Iskra, Ufa research center, supplying machinery for producing aircraft engine details, embezzled more than € 30 thousand. The money was stolen during the deals with an Indian company NAL.
Rustem Gantsev, the director of the research center, stole a great sum of money. A criminal case against him - under the article Misappropriation or embezzlement, that is, the stealing of other people's property entrusted to the convicted person - is opened.
He managed to misappropriate the funds during the fraud deals with an Indian company NAL - a government-owned corporation that supplies military hardware. The Federal Service for Technical and Export Control added NAL to the list of organizations relating to military programs on chemistry, biology, missile and nuclear weapon.
Rosfinmonitoring (Federal Financial Monitoring Service) analyzed the data of the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers and discovered thousands of offshore companies through which the Russians laundered billions of rubles. Materials on deputies and governors were handed over to law enforcers.
A spokesperson of the Prosecutor's office said that the ECHR had not studied all the materials of the criminal case, so they were offered not to overturn the verdict, but to send the case for a new review in court.
