Certain details have become known about the detention of a Ministry of Defense representative in Miass. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the official’s live for luxury – in particular, to expensive real estate – attracted the attention of the FSB.
“It has been established that the head of the Ministry of Defense Acceptance Committee and his relatives own expensive property,” the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The CrimeRussia previously reported that the officer was detained when receiving a bribe of 750 thousand rubles ($11,673) from the management of a commercial organization.
In exchange, the Ministry of Defense representative promised to protect the businessmen. In particular, the detainee was responsible for all military acceptance in Miass. He checked the completeness, quality, and documentation of the goods. He was detained on the territory of the Makeev State Rocket Center, although he had received a bribe from a representative of a third-party organization related to the defense industry.
