Deputy Mayor of Kerch detained for bribe taking
Deputy Mayor of Kerch Oleg Shevchenko detained by staff of the Federal Security Service in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
As Kommersant reports, the official was caught in flagrante delicto in the building of the City Administration during bribe taking of 380 thousand rubles, which the local entrepreneur transferred to Shevchenko.
Head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov told about detention of the Deputy Head of the Kerch Administration at a meeting with heads of administrations of the cities and areas of the peninsula.
The case under items (a and с), part 5 Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is initiated against the Deputy Head of the Kerch Administration and the deputy director of one of municipal unitary enterprise of the city. According to the case papers, on December 6 the City Administration and the contractor signed the agreement on performance of works on installation of route signs, traffic lights and public transport stops on the amount of 3,8 million rubles.
Oleg Shevchenko is accused of bribe taking in the amount of 50 thousand dollars. Oleg Osadchiy holding post of the Deputy Head before him was condemned for abuse of official powers in 2015.
First, 19-year-old Artur Gadzhiev tried to set fire to the Severny shopping center, then he began to attack the visitors with an ax and a knife, and later, after running outside, he stabbed random people in the street. Four out of the seven wounded are severely injured.
The woman said she has remained silent because she was afraid she and her daughter might have been killed. However, she decided to give the information away after the investigator who investigated the murder mysteriously died.
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, which had previously approved an indictment in a high-profile bootlegging case against billionaire and Forum St Petersburg Group of Companies CEO Dmitry Mikhalchenko, is now demanding the Russian Supreme Court to change the initial jurisdiction.
