Deputy Head of Syktyvkar Transport Police arrested over bribe
The Syktyvkar City Court has chosen a pre-trial restriction concerning Deputy Head of the Syktyvkar Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Transport Eldar Shukyurov for two months.
Police Major Shukyurov is suspected of bribe-taking. A criminal case against him was initiated under part 2 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, Shukyurov was extorting money from his subordinates. Several his subordinates, in particular an employee, who has become a witness of transfer of envelope with money, gave testimonies against the police officer. It is reported on 30 thousand rubles.
The investigation requested placing Shukyurov into custody, noting that in his service he can be characterized negatively – in autumn he received a service incompetence note.
The Kremlin was told that they use Telegram for internal communications. However, if it is blocked, the staff of the Presidential Administration is ready to switch to another messenger, said Dmitry Peskov.
Deputy of Izhevsk Zakhar Milostivenko was detained the day before on suspicion of "restricting competition". Sources clarify that the case of the parliamentarian is connected with the criminal case of Alexander Soloviev, accused of multimillion bribes.
