Deputy head of Moscow regional customs released after questioning
The official has not been charged, so far.
The media has reported about detention of first deputy head of Moscow regional customs Aleksander Durov.
In particular, according to REN TV, the official is being interrogated in a case related to corruption within the customs office. Earlier, deputy head of Moscow regional customs Denis Rudenko had been detained in the case. After questioning, he was arrested for 2 months by the court’s decision.
The investigation theory is that Rudenko received a large bribery - 11 million rubles ($165 thousand); in exchange, he promised to influence the outcome of the check carried out towards an LLC suspected of violations by customs officers.
According to preliminary data, Durov is a witness in the case. He was released after questioning and was not charged, so far.
