Deputy Head of Kuzbass police detained for taking large bribe
He offered to terminate checks into a businessperson from the city of Beglovo.
Vyacheslav Bezlyudko, the deputy police chief for operational work of the Central Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kemerovo region, was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code), the press service of the regional Investigative Committee reported. The amount of bribe amounted to 500 thousand rubles ($7600).
According to the investigators, Bezeludko offered to terminate checks into a businessperson from the city of Beglovo. Employees of the FSB of Russia in the Kemerovo region became aware of the corruption scheme. After the arrest, the materials were transferred to the investigating authorities of the territorial ICR. Shortly, the question of charge and a preventive measure will be resolved. The circumstances of the searches are not disclosed to the entrepreneur.
As the State Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kemerovo Region reported, Lieutenant Colonel Bezlyudko was appointed Deputy Head of the Kuzbass police at the end of 2017. Previously, this position was held by Colonel Alexey Filichkin, who retired. Vyacheslav Bezlyudko entered the service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1996 as an operative of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Directorate of Internal Affairs Belovo. From 2008 to 2015, he headed the security unit for persons subject to state protection of the Main Directorate of the MIA of Russia for the Kemerovo region. From December 2015 he was appointed to the post of Head of the Criminal Investigation Department. He serves more than 20 years. He is the participant of the North Caucasus war, has various awards.
