Damage increased by $108.000 in case of Dagestani former Communications Minister
The ICR completed the investigation and handed over the materials to the court of Makhachkala.
The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala will consider the criminal case of the former Minister of Communications and Telecommunications of Dagestan, Yusup Mallamagomedov, who was accused of Abuse of Official Powers (part 2 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and causing damage of 20.8 million rubles ($321.000), the ICR reports. Initially, investigators estimated the damage at 13 million rubles.
According to investigators, from May to November 2015, he helped certain entrepreneurs win auctions and set inflated prices on eight government contracts for the supply of furniture and equipment to multifunctional offices. The investigation is completed, and the investigation file was removed with the court along with the approved indictment by the Prosecutor’s Office.
