Custody term of former head of ICR for Moscow Drymanov extended
The general will celebrate the New Year's Eve in a pre-trial detention center.
The Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow extended the custody term of the former head of the ICR for Moscow, retired Lieutenant General Alexander Drymanov, until March 16, 2019, Business FM reported. Drymanov was accused of receiving a bribe of $ 1 million.
Drymanov was arrested on July 17, 2018. His former deputy, General of Justice Denis Nikandrov, to whom Drymanov allegedly provided patronage for 9,800 euros, testified against him.
On August 16, Nikandrov was sentenced to five years and five months for the bribe received along with Drymanov. According to the investigators, the ex-head of the Moscow ICR received the money from businessman Dmitry Smychkovsky for the release of kingpin Andrey Kochuykov from custody. The latter is the right hand of Zakhary Kalashov, also known as Shakro Molodoy.
