Court refused to release property upon Mari El former Head's case
Defense of founder of Akashevskaya factory Nikolay Krivash petitioned for lifting of restrictions.
The Moscow City Court recognized arrest of the real estate of founder of Akashevskaya factory Nikolay Krivash lawful. To recall, the businessman is accused of bribery of 235 million rubles ($4.15m) to former Head of Mari El Leonid Markelov.
Earlier the lawyer of the former Head of the region asked to cancel the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow, which has imposed interim measures according to the petition of the investigator.
Thus, under arrest there are six real estate objects: the apartment in Mari El, house and four land plots in Leninskie Hills situated near Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier the investigation brought the correspondence charge to Krivash, putting him on the international wanted list. Leonid Markelov was placed on April 14 in the pre-trial detention center meanwhile.
The deputy director of the institution Imuschestvo (Property), Alexander Ivanov, and deputy director of the property fund of St. Petersburg, Ilya Zhinkin, gave companies the pre-emptive right to buy out the areas on Nevsky.
The opposition leader was detained in the afternoon of February 22 in Moscow while he was walking out of a dental clinic. Navalny is accused of a second participation in an unsanctioned event, for which he faces up to 30 days of jail.
No violations have been revealed in the criminal prosecution of Colonel Zakharchenko’s family members. The appeal of lawyer Emelyanov to the president was forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office and the ICR.
