Orenburg region: bailiff got seven years of colony for bribery
The employee of Federal Bailiffs Service was ‘helping’ a debtor to save his property from being withdrawn.
In Orsk (Orenburg Region) the former bailiff was sentenced to seven years and two months of colony and a fine of 6 million rubles ($99 thousand) for “consultations of a debtor”, whom the employee of the Federal Bailiffs Service was thus helping to hide his property from being withdrawn, the press service of Prosecutor's Office reports.
For her ‘services’, the bailiff, as the court established, got a bribe in the amount of 200 thousand rubles ($3 thousand). “The woman entered in the official document false data on the absence of property of the debtor”, it is said in the message of supervising the department.
The woman was detained during transfer of the second part of a bribe through an intermediary. The court found her guilty of the articles Official Forgery, and also Bribe-Taking on an especially large scale.
