Astrakhan region’s chief bailiff detained for bribery
Head of the Directorate of the Federal Bailiffs Service in the Astrakhan region Andrey Nemashkalov has been detained on suspicion of bribe-taking.
According to Interfax-Yug, employees of the regional FSB office detained Nemashkalov yesterday afternoon at work in front of his colleagues. It is reported that Nemashkalov was detained when he was receiving part of a large bribe. Astrakhan media report that his assistant was detained along with him.
There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
It is reported that Andrey Nemashkalov has worked as head of the Federal Bailiffs Service in the Astrakhan region since June 2017. Previously, he was deputy head of the Federal Bailiffs Service in the Khabarovsk region and the Jewish Autonomous Region.
