Arrested General Nikandrov asks Head of Investigative Committee to take his case back from FSB

The General Denis Nikandrov accused of taking bribes in a large scale requests the Head of the ICR Alexander Bastrykin to take his case out from the control of the FSB. The investigator does not believe in the fairness and objectivity of the FSB officers. The letter with the request the law enforcement officer sent from the jail Lefortovo. In his letter, Nikandrov argues that the case is the result of conflict between the FSB Department M and the ICR Internal Security Directorate. The General asks to have his case investigated by his colleagues at the ICR. Nikandrov also recalls his merits in the investigation of high-profile cases.
Separately, the investigator stressed that retraining of Kochuykov’s actions was in the framework of the law.
Earlier, the mafia boss Kochuykov was detained on extortion charges in the amount of 8 million rubles from the owner of the restaurant Elements.
