The Krasnodar Region Court rejected Nikolay Nesterenko’s appeal last Friday on August 11.
May we remind you that the Anapa City Court sentenced Cossack camp commander Nikolay Nesterenko to 6.5 years in medium-security prison on April 24.
Nesterenko was convicted of a major fraud and falsification of evidence in a civil case. Nesterenko titled a 2,200 m2 land in his name, according to an investigation and following trial. The land is located in the Sukko village near Anapa. Nesterenko’s non-residential facility is located there.
The municipality had to buy the land from him after he submitted a fake land property title deed to the local administration. The land lost its municipal status as the result.
Nesterenko caused damages of 3 million rubles ($50 thousand) to the budget.
