Public servant sentenced to 2 years for taking four bottles of whiskey as bribe
Former Energonadzor inspector sentenced to two years in a penal colony settlement under the Kaluga District Court’s decision. He was found guilty of taking two bribes in March this year.
March 3, the convict was given four bottles of whiskey by a General Director of a commercial firm for promising to turn a blind eye to the violations revealed during inspection.
He was going to render the same service to a Head of another organization, demanding 12 thousand rubles.
However, the Head contacted the police, and March 4 the inspector was arrested for taking a bribe by law enforcement officers.
During the investigation, crime witnesses were identified and interviewed, and the administrative materials compiled by the convicted person were included in trial bundles.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
A serious and not at all political clash of interests is taking place at the Russian Federation Council. Kamchatka senators Valery Ponomarev and Boris Nevzorov are failing at deciding how to divide the Kamchatka water resources; both men make millions of dollars off of them every year.
