Well-known businessman Jeyhun Jafarov shot point-blank, killer caught on CCTV
The priority version is a contract murder.
A criminal case was opened in connection with the murder of well-known entrepreneur Jeyhun Jafarov in Saratov. The body of the businessman was discovered in the evening of October 24 near a private house No. 37 on Zoologicheskaya Street in Saratov. Jafarov was shot in the chest area. The Investigative Committee instituted criminal proceedings under part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (Murder) and part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (Illegal Acquisition, Storage, Transportation, Carrying Firearms, its Main Parts, Ammunition).
The priority version of what happened was a contract murder, which was realized by a professional killer. The murderer was waiting for the businessman at his house. When Jafarov came out of his Lexus, the assassin shot him in the heart, leaving the businessman no chance to survive. The killer disappeared, but, according to available information, the murder was depicted on surveillance cameras.
"Investigators study all the circumstances of the incident, conducted an inspection of the crime scene, a courtyard visit, interviewed local residents. The expertise is appointed, the exact cause of the death of the man and the type of weapon from which the shot was made will be established. The victim's surroundings, possible conflicts, personal and business contacts are studied. All possible versions are studied," said Ekaterina Kotlova, the representative of the regional ICR.
Jafarov was an active patron of the Azerbaijani community of the city of Saratov. Leader of the community Vladimir Muradov arrived at the site of the murder of his friend.
"He had the kindest soul. He did not conflict with anyone. I can not imagine who could do this. He owed no one. But people do," Muradov commented to the journalists.
Deceased entrepreneur Jeyhun Jafarov was the general director of the construction company Vozrozhdenie-KDM LLC. He owned 100% of the company's authorized capital. Among the orders of his company there was the reconstruction of an old youth theatre and a gymnasium.

The court believes that Anzhela Maria Tsapok could have made the money to buy the house and the expensive car by legal means, since she owned a firm. The court still refused to lift the attachment from her 6 million dollars.
