Mastermind behind State Duma deputy Yushenkov’s murder released on parole
Mikhail Kodanev was convicted for 20 years.
The Supreme Court of Mordovia has granted the petition and paroled former co-chairman of the Liberal Russia Party Mikhail Kodanev. He had been serving his 20-year sentence for arranging the murder of State Duma deputy Sergey Yushenkov.
It is noteworthy that earlier, the Zubovo-Polyansky district court of the region had refused to release him on parole. The press service of the Supreme Court noted that the politician is to be released on Tuesday, May 8.
