Kalmanovich’s widow comments on detention of suspects of her husband’s murder
About ten years have passed since the day of the crime, and it was considered a “hanging case.”
Prior to the resumption of the investigation into the shooting of businessman Shabtay Kalmanovich, his widow Anna Arkhipova-von Kalmanovich participated in the investigative actions seven years ago. Last year, she was again summoned to the MIA’s Central Office on Zhitnaya Street, where they were asked the same questions as before. Arkhipova learned about the arrest of suspects from the media, as the widow told MK.
“The last time I participated in the investigative actions in 2012. After that, there was a deadly silence, but in the spring of 2018, law enforcement agencies unexpectedly contacted me again,” Arkhipova said.
Shabtay von Kalmanovich was shot in the car on November 2, 2009. Experts called the case a hanging one, the search for the killers lasted until 2011.
