Russian banker Gorbuntsov returns to Moldova to testify against Usatii
Russian banker Gorbuntsov said he was firmly convinced that the businessman and democratic leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, has nothing to do with the assassination attempt on him.
As CrimeMoldova reports, citing publika.md, Gorbuntsov said he was firmly convinced that the businessman and democratic leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, has nothing to do with assassination attempt on him. Moreover, he mentioned that he was not afraid to return to the Republic of Moldova and he even had tea with the democratic leader.
The banker specified that all the cases opened against him had been framed up by Renato Usatii and the attempted assassination was also contracted by the Mayor of Balti.
"I am absolutely convinced. I am not the court, but I am convinced that it is the order of Usatii and his partners. Renato Usatii is not a politician, I see him as a murderer, thief, killer, who tries to make politics, but he does not succeed in it. I think these two things, politics and crimes, do not really go together. For me, he is an ordinary crook," Gorbuntsov said during the interview.
In the same context, Gorbuntsov also provided some details about the criminal case, which is pending at the Prosecutor's Office. He specified that, as long as the killer Vitalie Proca is held in Romania, his hearing is almost impossible. The main reason is that, according to the decision of the Russian court, the investigators do not have access to him.
Gorbuntsov added that Proca had completed his mission several times, and the last collaboration between Usatii and the killer was during the recent public interview, when Proca defended Usatii. Similarly, Proca's family had been financially rewarded by the Mayor of Balti.
Also, the Russian banker compared Usatii with a young lady, who sings and scolds others on Facebook, and suggested him to return home for a meeting.
"Renato, come back. Come on! What are you afraid of? We'll go to the Prosecutor’s Office, I'll wait for you, no problem. How long can this go on? You are a politician, you’re expected by people whom you cheated when you ran away like a coward. Be a man. Get on the plane and come back. We’ll go to the Prosecutor's Office together to clarify who the assassin is. The one who is guilty, has to be convicted, the innocent will be released. This is just an invitation," the Russian banker added.
Gherman Gorbuntsov returned to the Republic of Moldova after a period of six years to make statements in the case of his attempted assassination. His return was possible as the two cases, in which he is targeted, have been closed.
